Great food, Great Tour, Great Guide
"We met Lisa at the Wonderfood Museum. What a great way to start our foodie tour with a visit to the museum. Lisa gave us a great food tour of 6 or 7 of her favorite places where she ordered up the food and drinks for us, as we had no idea what to order. She gave us some of her background and how she came to Malaysia so we felt very comfortable with her. She shared many things about Penang as she lead us through Georgetown. We stopped at local markets where she explained the food and spices. We also stopped at several of the street arts. When our time was over she made sure we could easily find our way back to our ship. Thanks Lisa for a great day."

Highly Recommended
"Remyzan was excellent and led us on a wonderful (and filling) tour of the Georgetown area with a focus on places the locals eat. The food was amazing and several things we had never seen before. We ended up back at his restaurant where he and his wife made us drinks and cooked up a couple of their special dishes. Thoroughly recommended, though I’d do it early in your stay and then you’ll never eat anywhere else!"

Great Plan B tour
"Great tour with Remy. Due to Eid holidays many of his go to places were closed but he managed to find great alternatives and provided us with a comprehensive selection of what Penang‘s food scene has to offer. "

Truly memorable and fun experience!
"We truly enjoyed our time with Sam. He is some of the most fun person we’ve ever met! We laughed a lot but also ate very good dishes at nice hidden local places. He was very creative and even created challenges while tasting the food (with a tasty prize!). And also explained so much about the culture and the city. This was the highlight of our trip! Thank you Sam! "

A ‘must’ in George Town!
"After reviewing other George Town food tours, we booked Remy for our first evening in the area. Not only did he take us to different areas of George Town - whilst sampling local food delights - he also shared history and cultural information about the city. The food choices were amazing! The end of the tour was a visit to Remy’s own establishment. The food there was equally good - if not better - with Remy’s music ‘set’ being the perfect end to this 3+ hour tour! We highly recommend this trip! "

Do not hesitate to book!
"We told Remy we wanted to combine the food tour with street art and he did not disappoint. He was easy going and great to chat with giving us the history of George Town and we sampled the local delicacies the dish from Hameediyah was 10/10! The local street art was great we wouldn’t have found half the paintings on our own we saw lots of unique paintings that only Remy will show you! We ended the tour at Remys restaurant and he prepared a fresh prawn and rice dish which was 10/10 so fresh and tasted unique, here we also met his beautiful wife who cooks Malay food with a German twist she was a delight. Do not hesitate to book this tour with Remy you will not regret it. Finally it was a hot afternoon during Ramadan, we felt really bad eating infront of Remy who was fasting but he didn’t make us feel uncomfortable and even let us stop for a beer … what a guy! We unfortunately didn’t stay to listen to Remy work his magic with the guitar as it was iftar time and we were exhausted with full tummies! Next Remy! "

A wonderful food experience with Remy
"You won't find a better foodie guide than Remy, who will introduce you to the wide range of amazing eats that Penang can offer your taste buds. He is a chef himself, with his own restaurant, and knows everything about the ingredients and cooking methods for every dish you will try on his walking tour of Georgetown's old streets. He has a wide selection of locations, and is flexible depending on your wishes or ingredients that you don't eat. Remy is also terrific company, and full of interesting tales about life and about Malaysia. Very highly recommended! "

Value for money & a fun family experience
"Remy took our family on a tour of Georgetown where we are lots of delicious and unique foods including drinks, sweet snacks, fruit and main meals. But not only that, we also learned about the history of Georgetown, it’s many cultures and how people live and work in the town today. We were able to support other local businesses and we got lots of tips for places to eat during the rest of our visit to Penang. Remy has a lot of knowledge and some great stories about life on the island. He and his wife are wonderful cooks and we were treated to a meal at his restaurant as part of the tour. The tour was well paced and suitable for our two kids aged 8-11. We recommend taking the tour in the late afternoon or evening to avoid the hot sun and get the best food. Thank you Remy!"

Great food and great company.
"This was an incredible Food Tour. Lots of great food, and he was able to accommodate our dietary needs, including vegetarian and Halal. He also gave us a tour of the city and transported us by car. I highly recommend eligible and helpful. You went out of his way to tell that he is passionate about what he does."
